Three days after the police sent Raj Kundra to police custody in connection with a porn film racket, his wife and actress Shilpa Shetty shared a cryptic post. On Thursday, the actress took to her Instagram stories and shared a photo of a chapter that contained a quote from James Thurber, which read, “Let us not look back in anger, not in fear, but with awareness.”

“We look with anger at those who have hurt us, the disappointments we have felt, the misfortunes we have endured. We look forward to the fear of the possibility that we may lose our jobs, contract an illness. or endure the death of a loved one,” it further read.

“The place we need to be is right here, right now – not keenly looking at what has been or what might be, but being fully aware of what is.”

“I take a deep breath, knowing that I am lucky to be alive. I have survived challenges in the past and will survive challenges in the future. There is nothing to distract me from living my life today.”

Earlier in the day, Shilpa Shetty’s last social media post before her husband’s arrest also grabbed everyone’s attention. The post was about tratak meditation and calm mind. According to the police, the case is just the tip of the iceberg in the porn movies racket. Following his arrest, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale, in a statement said, “A case was registered in the Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 regarding production of obscene films and publishing them through certain apps. We asked Mr. Raj Kundra appears to be the main conspirator in this case on 19/7/21.”

Reportedly, Ripu Sudan Balakrishna Kundra alias Raj Kundra sold the app to a UK-based company Kenrin Pvt Ltd, which was owned by his brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi. A senior police officer said that Kundra’s Viaan Industries had a tie-up with London-based Kenrin, which has ‘Hotshots’ app, which is allegedly involved in publishing pornographic films.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Milind Bharambe said in a press briefing, “Though the company was registered in London, the content creation, operation of the app and accounting were done through Kundra’s Viaan Industries.” Kenrin is owned by Kundra’s brother-in-law, he said.

The officer said the police have collected evidence that establishes a link between the two business entities. Bharambe said that after searching Kundra’s Mumbai office, they found his WhatsApp groups, e-mail exchanges, accounting details and some prone movies.
