According to a report by Bar and Bench, Shilpa Shetty submitted that the platform is “tarnishing their reputation with the aim of sensationalizing news and increasing their readership and viewership.”

The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has also recorded the statement of Shilpa Shetty in the pornography case. Sources told news agency PTI that the actress reportedly told the police that she had no idea about the contents of the Hot Shots app, through which her husband Raj Kundra allegedly distributed pornographic films. Kundra, a Mumbai-based businessman, was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 19 for alleged production of pornographic films and their dissemination through apps. In her statement to the police, Shetty said she was not aware of the contents of the app nor had she interfered in her husband’s business, police sources said.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate SB Bhajipale of a Mumbai court has refused bail to Kundra and his aide Ryan Thorpe for allegedly producing and distributing obscene material. Accordingly, Kundra will remain in judicial custody till August 10, as ordered by the magistrate court on Tuesday.

Kundra, through senior advocate Abad Ponda, had filed a separate petition in the Bombay High Court challenging his arrest, which he termed as ‘illegal’, and all orders of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court to be sent to police and then to judicial custody. Had it. . However, on Tuesday, Justice AS Gadkari refused to grant any interim relief to Kundra before hearing the police’s side in the matter. The next hearing is to be held on Saturday.
