Talking about the trailer, Sidharth said, “Playing a man in uniform always evokes a sense of pride, but playing a great war hero like Vikram Batra was a huge responsibility. The role demanded a lot of physical and even more mental preparation to step into his shoes and bring to life the real life story of a man whose courage and grit was unmatched. I have tried my best to live up to his personality and valor and I am thankful to the Batra family for trusting me. Shershaah as a film is very close to my heart, and it is only fitting that we launch the trailer of the film at the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations. It is an absolute honor to be here amidst the brave hearts of the Indian Army and their families.”

Kiara Advani said in a statement, “I am honored to play such a strong and inspiring woman like Dimple Cheema, as it made me understand the journey of the unsung heroes, the women behind the army men. When we go to war. When we celebrate the valor of men, the sacrifices of women at home often go unnoticed.Sher Shah not only highlighted the contribution of these strong pillars of support, but also asked me to pay my tributes for their brave choices. I am very proud to be a part of Kargil Vijay Diwas, we are forever indebted for the bravery of those who fight on the front lines and their families who support them and our country unconditionally.”

Director Vishnuvardhan, who made his Hindi cinema debut with the film also said, “There could not have been a better setting to make his Bollywood debut than Shershaah or to present the trailer of our film. Sher Shah is not just a labor of love, it is my endeavor to salute the heroes who have served our nation time and profit. It was challenging yet thrilling to shoot this film and bring to life a real life story of courage and bravery. My aim was to make a film that would introduce and inspire the youth of today about the valor of Captain Batra. This film is a tribute to his indomitable spirit to make India win, his fearlessness and sacrifice.”
