‘Shark Tank India 2′: Parul Gulati grabs judges’ attention with hair extension brand

Mumbai, March 10 (IANS) Actress-cum-entrepreneur Parul Gulati, known for her work in shows like “Girls Hostel”, “Haq Se”, “Aawaad-Nyay”, “Out of Order” and many more, is impressed. Shark in ‘Shark Tank India 2’ not only with his hair oil brand but also with his life-changing decision to embark on his entrepreneurial journey while pursuing his acting career.

During the finale episode of ‘Shark Tank India 2’, Parul shared her hair extension brand and said that it caters to the diverse needs of women who are suffering from hair problems like hair fall, damaged hair, Hair with thinning and restricted growth, or those who like to experiment with their hairstyles.

He sought an investment of Rs 1 crore from Shark for 2 per cent equity in ‘Nish Hair’.

Sharks Vinita Singh and Aman Gupta offered him Rs 1 crore for 3 per cent in the equity. Amit Jain then offered Rs 1 crore for 2 per cent equity.

However, Vinita and Amit had an argument about her business.

Sharing her experience of appearing on the show, Parul said: “I’ve been watching ‘Shark Tank US’ for a while now, and I’ve always dreamed of taking my business ideas to sharks. Hair, I couldn’t imagine asking for investment in front of anyone because, firstly, I lacked confidence and secondly, the numbers really confused me.”

“So when I got the opportunity to represent my brand on ‘Shark Tank India 2’, I could hardly believe it. I binge-watched season 1 and just wanted to be a shark in it. This has been one of the top three moments of my life and I am so happy I decided to go on a competitive spree. I have never felt so cool and alive. I started my company without attending business school And developed a wonderful solution that helps women with hair problems.”

‘Shark Tank India 2’ is judged by Anupam Mittal (Founder & CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder & CMO of boAt), Piyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com), Namita Thapar is done. (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vinita Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics), and Amit Jain (CEO and Co-Founder of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com).
