Actor Sharad Kelkar, who plays Arvind in the second season of The Family Man 2, reveals that he has received threats from fans for ‘interacting between Suchi and Srikkanth’. Helmed by Priyamani and Manoj Bajpayee respectively, Suchi and Srikanth are a married couple in the show. However, Arvind has feelings for Suchi, who is his colleague.
In the show, it is implied that the two had a physical relationship during their visit to Lonavala, though the makers never revealed the secret. Actors including Sharad, Priyamani and Manoj have also refused to answer what happened between Suchi and Arvind in Lonavala.
In an interview with Spotboye, Sharad revealed, “I get these messages everyday like ‘Srikanth and Suchi ke ke baat nahi aao, jaan se maar denge tumko’, and I also get a lot of threats. So, I get used to it. Has occurred.” The actor said that he has seen a lot of fan-theories and memes about the show and his character.
Sharad said that he finds the memes of The Family Man 2 very funny. “In the first season the theory got so big that Arvind is actually Zulfikar, for whom the mission was done, and now so many memes are being made every day, like Arvind and Suchi were in Lonavala, Chellam sir watching us, or When Srikanth was in Chennai, Suchi and I were dancing on the beach. He is so funny and so creative, and that’s going in favor of the show,” he said.
Earlier, Priyamani had also opened up about the hatred she received due to the Aravind-Suchhi story. She said that she gets comments on Instagram from fans on why she cheated on Srikkanth. The actress had said in an interview that she must have done something right for this reaction of the people.
Directed by Raj and DK, The Family Man 2 also stars Samantha Akkineni in a pivotal role. The show will reportedly return for season 3.
