Sharad Kelkar on facing financial struggle: ‘had to repay the loan but not the bank balance’

MumbaiBollywood and television actor Sharad Kelkar will soon be seen in Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India. Before the release of the film, Sharad shared his life experiences in an interview. He revealed that he used to be a gym trainer before joining films. The ‘Barry Piya’ star, while talking to Maniesh Paul on his podcast, recalled the time when he faced financial issues.

“There was a time in my life when I had no money in my credit cards. I had no bank balance and too many responsibilities to take care of. I had debt and my credit cards were out of credit limit,” says Kelkar told Paul.

Sharad also revealed that he once suffered from stammer. As he stammered, other children around him made fun of him. Despite being upset, he never let it affect his will power and started efforts to overcome his shortcomings.

Kelkar is now a successful actor as well as a famous dubbing artist. In case you didn’t know, Sharad dubbed for Prabhas for the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali’.

“The irony is that I now work in a profession where I have to use my speech and voice skills,” Sharad said.

The talented actor has also appeared in TV shows like Barry Piya, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Kuch To Log Kahenge. After enjoying a successful stint in TV, she ventured into Bollywood. H was appreciated for his performances in films such as Rocky Handsome, Hulchul, 1920 Returns, Ram Leela and Lakshmi.

On the professional front, Kelkar will next be seen playing a pivotal role in ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’. The much-awaited film co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Nora Fatehi will premiere on August 13, 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.
