Shane Warne’s daughter breaks down during poignant speech at Summer Memorial – WATCH

Shane Warne’s youngest daughter Summer Warne was in tears remembering her great father during a state memorial at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Wednesday.

Warne’s three children, Brooke, Jackson and Summer, delivered heart-wrenching speeches where thousands of people, including Warne’s family, celebrities and many players, gathered to pay tribute to one of the best players in the game.

Australian cricket genius Warne, whose brilliance and personality transcended the sport, died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 52 nearly three weeks ago during a holiday in Thailand.

A private funeral was held for Warne, which was attended by family and close friends in Melbourne last week. However, everyone was invited to Wednesday’s televised memorial, which was watched by a billion people around the world, The Sun reported.

The spin legend’s eldest 24-year-old daughter Brooke opened up about the agony that her father would not see her or her siblings achieve major life milestones like marriage and children.

“I could go on forever wondering what we’re going to miss, but nothing will be more disturbing than how much I already miss you,” the 24-year-old said.

His younger sister Samar burst into tears as he led the tribute remembering his beloved father. She recalled her last memories of being with her father on March 2, two days before his shock death.

“I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that you won’t be able to walk down the aisle on my special day,” Summer said.

You’re never going to meet the grandchildren you’re going to have someday, but instead you’ll be the one I tell my kids about. They loved and loved you just as I do,” said the 20-year-old.

His brother Jackson also described his father as the best father and his best friend.

“Time went by so fast with you. It feels like yesterday we were watching each other play poker, watching the Saints eat pizza,” Jackson recalled of Warne. Said happened.

Meanwhile, several athletes, musicians and Hollywood actors offered video tributes for the cricketer, who was a huge fan of rock music.

The two-and-a-half-hour memorial ended with Warne’s three children unveiling a stand at the MCG, which was renamed after the stray leg-spinner. The former Great Stand at the venue will now be known as the Shane Warne Stand.
