Shamshera: The song Ji Huzoor starring Ranbir Kapoor is now out in the form of Balli. watch video

Bollywood director Karan Malhotra asked the audience if they are ‘ready to dance’ as he announced the release of a brand new song ‘Jee Huzoor’ from his film ‘Shamshera’ starring the actor. Ranbir Kapoor, “Are you ready to dance?” captioned the director on Instagram. The 2 minute 16 second video shows Ranbir as the character of Balli, who is in a stern look. He was seen having fun with the children while dancing to the tune of Ji Huzoor amidst sandy areas and mud houses. Ranbir’s rustic avatar, dressed in a Pathan suit, with unkempt hair, and a red colored bandana, looked great on him. He was surrounded by children who loved Bally. Ranbir’s energetic dance moves and his quirky expressions were an added bonus.

‘Jee Huzoor’ is sung by the famous Aditya Narayan while additional vocals are given by singer Shadab Faridi. The song is written, composed and produced by Mithun.

The release of the song was announced by lead actress Vaani Kapoor on Instagram. Taking to his personal handle, he wrote, “Meet Balli in your element! #Jihuzoor song out now! Shamshera is releasing in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu. Celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 at your nearest theater on 22nd July “

For those unaware, in ‘Shamshera’, Ranbir will be playing his first dual role. As per the official trailer, out of the dual roles, one character of Ranbir is intense, with the actor sporting a full beard and long, unruly hair, while the other character is a fun-lover, always up to some quirks.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the official trailer of ‘Shamshera’ was released on June 24. As per the trailer, the film is set in the fictional town of Kaza, where Ranbir transforms from a slave to a leader in order to save his clan. ‘Shamshera’ also stars veteran Sanjay Dutt in a lead role who will be seen as the antagonist Daroga Shuddh Singh.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, ‘Befikre’ actor Vaani Kapoor also stars in the film, possibly as Ranbir’s girlfriend. ‘Shamshera’ also stars actors Ashutosh Rana, Saurabh Shukla, Ronit Roy and Tridha.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Shamshera’ is slated to hit the theaters on July 22. It was originally supposed to release earlier, but was delayed several times due to COVID-19.
