Actor Tejashwi Prakash was declared the winner of Bigg Boss 15 by host Salman Khan on Sunday night, while Prateek Sahajpal and Karan Kundrra secured the second and third position respectively. The Swaragini actress took home the Bigg Boss 15 trophy and prize money of Rs 40 lakh. There were six finalists for the trophy – Shamita Shetty, Nishant Bhat, and Rashmi Desai besides Tejashwi, Prateek and Karan.
Tejashwi’s victory has left social media divided. A section of the internet wondered whether Tejashwi won the show as he had earlier done a daily soap with Colors TV, which airs Bigg Boss. Others believe that he was chosen as the winner for Bigg Boss season 15 as he was selected as the lead role for Naagin 6, which is another popular show on Colors TV.
Now, Shamita Shetty has also reacted to a tweet making a similar claim. “Why do I feel that Shamita Shetty was not chosen as the winner in Bigg Boss because she is the sister of Shilpa Shetty. Tejashwi won this title because she is the new Naagin of Colors TV’s new serial. Channel actors in my opinion should be disqualified,” the tweet read.
Replying to the tweet, Shamita wrote, “What can I say… except… Thank you for your love and your honest opinion. I love you.”
Shamita Shetty and Tejashwi Prakash were face to face since the beginning of Bigg Boss season 15. Shamita would often reprimand Tejashwi for being “insecure” and “rude”. Tejashwi, on the other hand, accused Shamita of trying to get close to her boyfriend Karan Kundrra on the show.
Interestingly, in the Bigg Boss house twice, the top 5 contestants were selected from the lot. Once by the media who were invited for the press conference and before that when choreographer and director Farah Khan reached the reality show. Both the times Tejashwi was in the race for the trophy.
