Shakti Kapoor, known for his cinematic excellence, recently appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. In the movie, Shakti portrayed the character of PK Mishra, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Swastik Steels Corp. Now, in a conversation with a leading news outlet, Shakti Kapoor praised Ranbir Kapoor as one of the industry’s finest actors.

In a chat with Etimes, Shakti Kapoor said, “I only wish Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) was alive to witness the success his son has achieved. I proudly call his son one of the best actors in the industry.” He went on to highlight the fantastic bond that existed between Rishi Kapoor and his son.

When asked about his thoughts on the success of Animal, Shakti Kapoor expressed that the achievement is truly incomparable. From the initial day of collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ranbir harboured a profound conviction that the film would achieve monumental success. “He got some of the finest actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and of course, Shakti Kapoor (laughs). It’s got energy,” he added.

Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Anil Kapoor. The film revolves around a violent world set against the backdrop of a tumultuous father-son relationship. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor assumes the role of Ranvijay Singh, with Anil Kapoor portraying the character of Balbir Singh, Ranbir’s father. Rashmika Mandanna steps into the character of Geetanjali, the wife of Ranvijay Singh. Meanwhile, Bobby Deol plays the role of Abrar Haque. According to T-Series, Animal has achieved remarkable success by entering the Rs 700 crore club.

Shakti Kapoor has a promising lineup of projects ahead. He is slated to appear in Dilip Gulati’s upcoming action film Lady Singham, alongside Rani Chatterjee and Awdhesh Mishra. Additionally, he is set to feature in Rajat Bakshi’s comedy crime drama titled Vellapant. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his next venture, the drama film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar. The film will also star Sai Pallavi.
