Popular TV actor Shaheer Sheikh’s father Shahnawaz Sheikh passed away on Wednesday after a battle with COVID-19. Actor Aly Goni shared the sad news of Shaheer’s father’s demise on social media. Shaheer’s father was on ventilator due to severe coronavirus infection.
Expressing condolence on Twitter on Wednesday night, he tweeted, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun (Truly we belong to God and indeed we return to Him). May Allah rest uncle’s soul brother @Shaheer_S, stay strong brother.”

The news comes a few days after he, who is known for starring in shows like ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’, urged everyone to pray for his father, who He was suffering from severe covid infection.
Shaheer posted a picture of his father on Twitter and updated that he is on a ventilator due to the infection.
“My dad is on ventilator, suffering from a severe covid infection… please keep him in your prayers..,” he wrote.
On the work front, Shaheer will soon be seen in Season 2 of ‘Pavitra Rishta’.
The second season centers around Manav, played by Shaheer and Archana, and how their marriage, which was based on a sham, falls apart only for them to realize that their ‘sacred relationship’ will ever be the only one. Was not bound by vows and responsibilities.
