Shah Rukh’s son Aryan Khan to walk out of jail soon as Bombay HC grants him bail in drugs case

Mumbai: In a major relief for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, the Bombay High Court on Thursday (October 28) granted him bail in connection with the alleged cruise ship case, according to ANI. After hearing the arguments of all the parties for three days, the court has also granted bail to Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

Former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi, who is representing Aryan Khan, concluded his argument before Justice NW Sambre on Wednesday (October 27). Lawyers for Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha also presented their case before a single bench of the High Court yesterday.

Rohatgi told the media that a detailed order would be given on Friday. Former AG Mukul Rohatgi was quoted by ANI as saying, “The detailed order will be given tomorrow. Hopefully they all come out of jail by tomorrow or Saturday.”

When will Aryan Khan come out of jail?

Mukul Rohatgi while addressing the media said that Aryan will come out of Arthur Road Central Jail in Mumbai after the order is issued from Bombay High Court.

What happened in court today?

Additional Solicitor General of India Anil Singh, appearing for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), responded to the arguments of the accused’s lawyers in Thursday’s hearing. He According to ANI, Aryan Khan is not the first time consumer of drugs. Singh said that the star kid was in touch with drug smugglers.

Singh was quoted as saying by the news agency, “Raksha has talked about the test. Why the test? Our case is not of consumption but of possession. The accused was in possession of drugs.”

ASG Anil Singh referred to Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chat and said, “If we rely on WhatsApp chat, he (Aryan Khan) tried to deal in commercial quantity (drugs). Ecstasy was of commercial quantity. It cannot be said that the drug was for personal consumption.”

Why Aryan Khan was arrested?

Aryan, Arbaaz and Munmun were among eight people who were detained and later arrested after the NCB raid on a cruise ship on October 2. They were booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. A special NDPS court had on October 20 rejected Aryan’s bail in the drug recovery case. In a major setback to the son of Shahrukh and Gauri Khan, their judicial custody has also been extended till October 30.

The lawyers of the three had approached the Bombay High Court last week after the NDPS court rejected their bail pleas.

Last week, the Narcotics Control Bureau had summoned Ananya Pandey to appear before the authorities in the drugs case. The anti-drug law enforcement agency had raided Pandey’s Mumbai home on October 21.

His mobile phone and laptop were confiscated by the NCB officials. According to an IANS report, Ananya’s name was in Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chat and hence she was called for questioning.
