A source close to Salman’s team told Pinkvilla that “Salman called up Shah Rukh and congratulated him for Pathan. He is extremely happy with Shah Rukh Khan’s success and feels that no one deserves it more than Shah Rukh Khan.” Apparently, Salman is also hopeful that Pathan will do ‘incredibly well’ and take the box office sales in India to ‘400 crores.’ Salman will soon meet Shah Rukh in person to wish for the success.
A close source of the family also informed about this India Today Shah Rukh is also happy with the response. “Shah Rukh is thrilled beyond words. His team was expecting the film to open big, but these numbers are way out of the ballpark. No one expected that the film would start breaking records so soon,” claimed an insider.
“While Shah Rukh is thankful and grateful for the love, are the kids, especially his son Aryan, the first to tell him that Pathan would be a big hit after the first test. Aryan, who is turning director with an OTT platform, was blown away by Pathan’s stunts and action sequences when he saw it in the initial test a few weeks ago,” said the source.
Played by Siddharth Anand, Pathan is garnering rave reviews for Shah Rukh Khan’s screen presence. The film also marked her return to the big screen after almost four years. The film was nothing less than a visual spectacle with action sequences and especially with Shah Rukh and Salman sharing the same frame. Pathan has now created history by earning 113.6 crores on the second day. The total worldwide gross is around 219.6 crores.
Shahrukh Khan has many big budget films in his account. He will be next seen in Atlee’s Jawan alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The film, slated to release in June 2023, will also mark Khan’s all-India debut. Besides this, the actor also has Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Danki’ opposite Taapsee Pannu.
