According to sources, a police team has raided Ajay Mishra’s house in Lakhimpur. At the same time, Ajay Mishra was summoned by the BJP high command to Delhi. They reached Delhi in the morning itself. There was a 30-minute conversation with Home Minister Shah in a closed room. The central government and organization can take any major action on them.

Earlier, Ajay Mishra had denied the talk of summoning Delhi. He had said that the party high command has not summoned him. I have some work. So I will reach Delhi tonight or tomorrow. He said, ‘Why should I resign on moral grounds, I have no involvement in the whole incident. I was in an event when this ruckus happened, which was 4 km away from the spot. There is enough evidence that neither I nor my son were at the scene.

The Union Minister further assured that there will be a fair investigation in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, as the BJP government is in power in Uttar Pradesh and at the Centre. He said that those who are questioning the investigation have nothing to do with this case. We do not interfere with the investigation.

Formation of 6 member committee for investigation
A 6-member committee will investigate the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday. IG Lucknow said that Ashish Mishra, son of the Union Minister of State for Home, has been made a nominated accused in this case. According to sources, the matter is also to be investigated by the judicial committee. The committee’s announcement for this will be made on Wednesday.

What happened in Lakhimpur?

  • On Sunday, farmers had shown black flags protesting against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra. During this, a car had crushed the farmers. Due to this, 4 farmers had died. After this, in the violence that erupted, it is alleged that the farmers had beaten to death four people, including a driver. A journalist was also killed in this violence.
  • In this case, a case of murder and criminal conspiracy has been registered against 15 people including Ashish Mishra, son of Minister Ajay Mishra Teni.
  • An agreement was reached between the government and the farmers on Monday. The government has announced a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the families of the deceased.
  • Apart from this, one family member of all the deceased will also be given a job. Along with this, a judicial inquiry into the incident and the arrest of the accused in 8 days has also been promised.
