Kohat: The body of a madrasa student was found on Sunday in the mountains of Mishti Mela area of Orakjia district.
DSP Mehboob Alam told Don over phone that people informed the police about a boy lying in the mountains.
He said he climbed the mountain with a team and found the body tied to a tree. He said the boy was tortured and shot in the head.
He said that the personnel with the help of local tribals wrapped the body in cloth and lowered it on the cot.
The postmortem report confirmed that the 13-year-old boy was tortured before being shot dead.
His father, Taj Wali Khan, who told that his son had gone missing on Friday, identified him as Menon Khan.
He said that his family has no enmity with anyone.
However, the police have registered an FIR against unknown killers.
Meanwhile, a minor girl was killed and a boy injured in Muhammadzai Town on Sunday after a pistol kept by his brother allegedly went off by mistake.
Cantonment police said the family had reported that seven-year-old Ehsanullah was playing with a loaded gun inside the house when it went off, killing his four-year-old sister Nazia and injuring six-year-old brother Samiullah .
The injured was taken to KDA Teaching Hospital, where a bullet came out of his body.
Police said that the investigation into the incident has been started.
