A government order said that the District Magistrate of Ghaziabad today ordered a change in the timings of all government and private schools in the city. Schools will open from 10 am to 3 pm.

As per the order of DM Ghaziabad, there will be a change in the timings of all council/aided/recognised, CBSE and ICSE board schools in the district from class 1 to 8. The school timings have been changed to ensure the safety of students, in view of the low visibility due to fog, which can lead to road accidents.

Earlier, an order was issued by the District Magistrate of Ghaziabad directing all primary and secondary schools, madrassa education boards, Sanskrit schools and council schools to ensure compliance of the order. Student safety in view of several accidents reported due to low visibility.

Due to extreme cold weather and dense fog, the school timings in several districts of Uttar Pradesh have been changed by the state authorities.

Meanwhile, classes in Lucknow will start at 10:00 am and end at 3:00 pm till December 31. The District Magistrate’s Office in Lucknow has issued a notice announcing the change in the schedule of winter schools. According to the official notification by the District Magistrate of Lucknow, this change has been made in view of the difficulty in reaching the school due to extreme cold wave.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had earlier ordered a change in the timings of schools in the state, with classes starting at 10 am from December 21 to December 31. :30 am.
