Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta rose to fame in the 2015 independent film Margarita with a Straw. After playing the role of Kalki Koechlin’s lover in the film, it didn’t take long for the actress to break into the mainstream of Bollywood. He played the role of best friend to the lead pair of Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in Nitya Mehra’s 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho.
The actress took a trip down memory lane and shared a BTS video from when she was working on the project Baar Baar Dekho. In the short clip, Sayani is seen mastering the choreography of one of the popular songs from Bollywood flick, Kaala Chashma. This song was creating panic among the audience. It was originally composed by Prem Hardeep, Kaam Dhillon and remade for the film by Badshah. The number was written by Amrik Singh and Kumar and sung by the widely liked voices of Amar Arshi, Badshah and Neha Kakkar.
The footage of Sayani in a white outfit performing the most killer moves is from the first night of the song’s shoot. The actress rehearsed the intricate choreography in a hotel room with dance assistants.
Along with the interesting clip, Sayani also penned a long note. The diva revealed that she had practiced a lot for several days but was disappointed that the choreography of the song changed at the last minute. “Bahut heart broken tha, never bhoolgei,” said the actress as she loves to dance and dances in every film. In the note, the actress tagged director Nitya and wished to collaborate with him again.
In the end, the actress taunts how the teacher’s voice is making the video more attractive.
Sayani played the character of Chitra, Jai and Diya’s best friend. His role was that of a really funky, quirky and funny person.
