Solah Somwar Vrat is the most popular fast, which is observed for 16 consecutive Mondays to please the deity and get his grace. Anyone who wants to pay respect to Lord Shiva can observe this fast.

This Solah Somwar Vrat starts from the first Monday of the month of Shravan and lasts for 16 weeks. Devotees offer prayers, perform rituals and repeat the Solah Somvar Vrat Katha as in other fasts.
