Sawaal To Banta Hai: BJP leader and former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad rejected the opposition’s allegations that the BJP government was misusing law enforcement agencies including the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to target its opponents. In an exclusive conversation on India TV’s Sawal Toh Banta Hai, Ravi Shankar Prasad talks about the recent raids on former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest in the liquor policy scam against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the ‘land for job’ scam. talked about , on other issues including Rahul Gandhi’s visit to London.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the allegations of harassing Lalu Prasad Yadav are wrong. He said, “Not one, but many cases are registered against him… Lalu Yadav used the railways for the benefit of his family.”

Targeting Lalu Yadav over the ‘Land for Jobs’ scam, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that questions would arise as to how he became the owner of so many lands, he would have to answer them.

Responding to why cases have been filed against Lalu’s son and Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that questions will arise as he has properties in his name… what is his source of income.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “We did not say that you loot Bihar, we did not say that do corruption, we did not say that you should be involved in the fodder scam.” Agencies and playing the victim card.

Ravi Shankar Prasad targets Rahul Gandhi, Congress

Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who sought US, UK intervention in India during his recent visit to London, alleging that the democratic system was getting weak.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “What is he (Rahul Gandhi) asking for… By making such statements, he is insulting the mandate.”

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that the Center is scared of China, the former Union minister said the government resolved issues like Doklam and Galwan and mentioned whether it was not true that the Chinese had to back down.

In fact, Ravi Shankar Prasad hit out at the previous Congress-led governments, which never developed border infrastructure thinking that it would upset China.

On the 2024 general elections, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the BJP’s performance would be better than the 2014 and 2019 elections.
