Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation, which is spearheading the Save the Soil movement, is addressing the critical issue of rapid soil extinction. Many big names have come out in support of this international movement and the list also includes former West Indies cricketer Sir Vivian Richards. With the support of many stars from different industries and fields, now Tamil film lyricist and poet B.K. Vijay has come out in support of this.
Vijay reached Isha Foundation on the occasion of Mahashivratri. A Twitter user shared a video of the poet as he expressed his opinion on the save soil movement. “Glad to meet you at the Mahashivratri festival at Isha Foundation. May Sadhguru’s blessings always be upon you,” wrote the user.
Earlier, Prime Ministers and other important dignitaries from four Caribbean countries – Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis – have contributed to the MoU for the Save the Soil movement.
On March 11, Sadhguru shared pictures with Vivian Richards and Ian Botham. Appreciating the cricketers for their achievements in cricket and beyond, Sadhguru wrote, “Glad to meet you during my visit to Antigua for the Save the Soil Movement.” “Please join us in restoring the soil of our world, which is the basis of all life on Earth,” he said.
Apart from interacting with dignitaries and addressing rallies, Sadhguru will soon embark on a solo motorcycle journey of 30,000 km across 27 countries to save the soil as part of a global movement. The 100-day visit is expected to begin from March 21 and will include engagements with leaders from all 27 countries. Sadhguru would urge them to take immediate policy action to save soil in their respective countries.
As of now, interest on the Save Soil initiative has taken over the internet, with trends, dance videos and hashtags going viral.
