Saudi Arabia on Monday lifted travel restrictions related to coronavirus on its citizens traveling to India and three other countries.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted an official source in the Interior Ministry as saying that the move is based on the epidemiological situation of the coronavirus pandemic, and what has been submitted by health officials on the global epidemiological situation.

Apart from India, the other countries are Ethiopia, Turkey and Vietnam, the report said.

Last week, Saudi Arabia announced the lifting of measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including the requirement to wear face masks in closed spaces.

The oil-rich state has already started receiving pilgrims for the annual Haj season which is starting in a few weeks.
