Sara Ali Khan Follows Hema Malini’s Footsteps, Takes Ride In Mumbai Metro: Watch

The newly launched Mumbai Metro is proving to be beneficial for daily commuters in the financial capital of India. Along with the city dwellers, celebrities are also now preferring metro over their luxury cars. Now following the footsteps of Hema Malini, actress Sara Ali Khan recently took a metro ride in Mumbai. Sara shared a video on Instagram Story, in which she is seen sitting in the metro. Sara, dressed in a white kurta and glasses, smiled widely and waved at the camera.

Tagging her ‘Metro In Dino’ co-star Aditya Roy Kapur and director Anurag Basu, she captioned the post, “Mumbai meri jaan..didn’t think I’ll reach Mumbai Metro before you guys.” From subsequent updates on her Instagram, it looks like Sara took the metro to reach her shoot location.

Earlier, actress Hema Malini had shared videos and photos during the journey in Mumbai Metro. However, he mentioned that he used the services of the Metro to control the traffic in the city. Tweeting his pictures, he wrote, “Let me share my unique, amazing experience with all of you. Traveled 2 hours by car to reach Dahisar, so tiring! In the evening I decided to try the metro.” Decided, and OMG! What a joy. True, we went through tough times during construction, but worth it! Clean, sharp and clean in 1/2 hour in Juhu.”

Looks like Sara has started shooting for `Metro In Dino`, a film whose title is apparently taken from the popular song `In Dino` from `Life In…Metro`. The project will showcase bittersweet stories of human relationships in contemporary times.

Presented as an anthology, it will also star Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal and Neena Gupta in lead roles. Sharing more details about the film, Anurag Basu had earlier said, “Metro…In Dino is a story of the people and for the people! I’ve been working on it for a while now, and I’m glad that I am working on this film.” Collaborating again with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar, who has always been a pillar of support for me!”

He added, “The story is very fresh and relevant as I look forward to collaborating with amazing artistes who bring with them the essence of contemporary aura. Since music plays a very important role in any film, I am delighted to collaborate.
