Sara Ali Khan Calls Granny Sharmila Tagore Her ‘Sapno Ki Rani’ In Latest Pic

Mumbai: It is always nice to see two generations come together on some occasion. On Sunday, Sara Ali Khan posted a picture with her grandmother Sharmila Tagore on Instagram. He captioned it, “The queen of my dreams is my most beautiful grandmother.” Draped in a blue saree, Sharmila looked classy as ever. Sara was wearing a casual kurta and specs. Fans also liked Sara’s post very much. One wrote, “Ur grand mother is very classy.” Another wrote, “She must be telling you some of the best stories of her time.”

Interestingly, Sara chose one of Sharmila’s classics for her caption. `Mere Sapno Ki Rani` is from `Aradhana`, where Sharmila was paired opposite Rajesh Khanna. Kishore Kumar immortalized the song.

Recently Sara went to an event in Qatar. There he bonded with Ananya Pandey.


On the acting front, Sara will next be seen in director Laxman Utekar’s next untitled romantic drama film opposite actor Vicky Kaushal. She also has ‘Gaslight’ with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh and Karan Johar’s next ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, in which she will play a brave freedom fighter in a fictional story set in 1942 against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement.

Apart from this, she will also be seen in director Anurag Basu’s next anthology, ‘Metro… In Dino’ alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh. and Ali Fazal.

Sara made her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’, in which she played the role of Mandakini Mishra opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. For this, she also received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
