Sania Mirza Officially Announces Divorce From Shoaib Malik

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik’s announcement of his marriage to actor Sana Javed was followed by confirmation from Sania Mirza’s family on Sunday that the renowned Indian tennis player and Shoaib Malik have ended their relationship. The separation marks the end of a notable partnership that had captivated the attention of sports enthusiasts in both countries. Shoaib Malik declares his third marriage, while Sania initiates a unilateral divorce, and the former Pakistani captain ties the knot with actress Sana Javed.

Malik, aged 41, posted a picture of himself and Sana from their wedding on social media this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sania’s family issued a statement confirming Sani’s divorce with Shpoaib Malik. “Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!,” the statement read

 

“At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,” it added.

The revelation coincides with ongoing speculation and rumors surrounding the strained relationship between Malik and Sania, who exchanged vows in April 2010 in Hyderabad, the Indian athlete’s hometown.

Malik’s recent decision to unfollow the 37-year-old Sania on Instagram added fuel to the rumors surrounding their marital difficulties, intensifying the speculation. Their five-year-old son, Izaan, is currently residing with Sania.

In a recent Instagram post, Sania alluded to personal challenges. Sania Mirza’s cryptic post on Instagram has fueled rumors and speculation about a possible divorce with Shoaib Malik.

Sania, celebrated as one of India’s premier tennis players, announced her retirement from professional tennis last year, concluding a remarkable 20-year career. Throughout her career, she secured six Grand Slam victories in doubles and mixed doubles competitions.
