‘Sangram’ in Haryana on ‘Agneepath’: riot begins in Mahendragarh; Vehicles blown outside railway station, road jam in Jind-Fatehabad, lathi charge

In protest against the Agripath scheme of the central government, voices of protest are being raised in Haryana for the third day on Saturday. While youths have blocked roads in Jind and Fatehabad, riots have started in Mahendragarh. The railway station here has been ransacked and several vehicles set on fire. The police had to lathi-charge to disperse the youth. There are reports of protests against Agneepath from many other areas of the state as well. Police have been put on alert. Internet services have already been suspended in Mahendragarh, Palwal and Ballabhgarh.

The protest against Agneepath in Haryana’s Mahendragarh turned violent. Hundreds of people vandalized the Mahendragarh railway station and set vehicles on fire outside the station. Earlier, Rao blocked Tularam Chowk and then proceeded towards the station. Reached the station while performing. Here the railway track was jammed by vandalizing an office at the station. Lathi-charge has been done to deal with the furious protestors. The situation remains tense.

In the block Julana of Jind district, youth blocked the Jind-Rohtak road on Saturday morning. Wherein in Fatehabad also Sirsa Chandigarh road has been blocked. In both the places the youth are sitting in the middle of the road. Police administration is also on alert. At present the vehicles are stuck in the jam. Police is trying to convince the youth as well as diverting the vehicles.

Let us tell you that two days ago, a youth of Lijwana Kalan village of Jind had committed suicide in Rohtak in protest against Agneepath. That’s when four nearby villages had announced a jam in Julana on Saturday. Due to this, the youth in Julana are standing on the Jind-Rohtak National Highway. DSP Dharambir and Julana station in-charge Samarjeet reached the spot and tried to convince the youth. At present, the youth are sitting on the Jind-Rohtak National Highway.

Chandigarh Highway Jam

In Fatehabad, Haryana, the youth are furious about Agneepath. Here for the second consecutive day, the youth who came out in protest have blocked the Sirsa-Chandigarh road in Bhuna. The youth are shouting loud slogans. Vehicles are stuck on both sides of Chandigarh Road due to the jam. People are upset. As soon as the information was received, the police of the area reached the spot. Youth are being persuaded to open the jam from the road, but no one is listening to the police. The youth population is increasing.
