Samsung launches Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Watch 4 bespoke editions, One UI 4 teased

Samsung held its Galaxy Unpacked 2 event earlier today, where the company revealed customizable bespoke versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4. The new devices do not see a change in terms of functionality, but allow users to customize the appearance of these select Galaxy. Device. Samsung also unveiled its latest-gen One UI 4 based on Android 12 at the recently concluded Galaxy Unpacked 2 event.

The company says it researched current and future color trends to anticipate changes in customer preferences. As a result, it has got 49 possible color combinations for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 bespoke variant. Customers can now mix and match these combinations by choosing the phone frame option of Black or Silver and front and back colors of Blue, Yellow, Pink, White or Black. Samsung is also offering exclusive Bespoke Upgrade Care for Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition users so that they can change the color of their device whenever they want.

As mentioned, the bespoke version is also available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series. Through the software update, customers will get more options for personalization. The update will bring watch faces and a more tailored fall detection feature that enables users to adjust the sensitivity. This will further “knock, knock” wrist motions that activate the most used apps. As for the prices, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 bespoke variant will be available in Korea, US, UK, Germany, France, Canada and Australia. Starting October 20th for $1,020 (approximately Rs.76,300). Pricing details for the Galaxy Watch 4 Bespoke Edition are unclear.

In Galaxy Unpacked 2, Samsung announced its collaboration with ‘Paris-meets-Tokyo lifestyle brand’ Kitsune for two new special-edition wearables – Galaxy Watch4 Maison Kitsune Edition and Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsune Edition. The partnership brings to the devices the attractive design of Maison Kitsune and the Fox logo of the brand. A sophisticated new color, Moonrock Beige, was created specifically for the collaboration, notes the company.

Lastly, Samsung has unveiled a sneak peek of its latest-gen One UI 4 for the smartphone. The stable Android 12-based custom skin will come first to Galaxy Z devices and other devices later, but we haven’t got more clarity yet. In terms of features, One UI 4 will introduce Emoji Mix for users to send different emoji in one go. The camera app will get updates like removing background or de-blur images. It is also getting the Material U-inspired feature of stock Android 12 which will customize the interface based on the color of the wallpaper. This means that the clock and icons will have the same color as the background. Samsung has already started rolling out the third One UI 4 beta update for Galaxy S21 users in South Korea.
