The upcoming S Pen is said to be backed by a 100mAh battery and will be charged via USB Type C. It is also expected that the company will sell the S Pen separately and you will have to spend more money if you want to buy one. Currently, the S Pen offered with the Galaxy S21 Ultra costs $40, so it is likely that the new stylus will be more expensive.
Earlier this year, Samsung had confirmed that it would not launch new Galaxy Note series smartphones. DJ Koh, co-CEO of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications division, said the reason behind this is the lack of chips and conflicts with existing products.
DJ Koh said, “Galaxy Note is an important product category for us that has been consistently favored by consumers in the global market for the past 10 years. The S Pen user experience is one area on which Samsung’s mobile business has surpassed any other. Their launch time may vary, but we will make sure that we don’t let Galaxy Note consumers down.”
