Samsung is facing difficulties in the market after the news of performance throttling of Galaxy S22 series smartphones became public last month. According to a news report, the slow pace of devices by Samsung is now adversely affecting the sales of smartphones in the domestic market.
Reports say that buyers in South Korea are aware of the controversy caused by the throttling of the Game Optimization Service, or GOS. And they are no longer confident about buying the Galaxy S22 smartphone.

Consumers are not happy with the company’s decision not to share information about throttling before the issue came to light. And also, don’t give users the option to disable GOS, which was eventually corrected with an update to disable the feature for users.
The report further said that Samsung is responding to sales concerns by increasing carrier subsidies for the devices. The company has reportedly tripled the subsidy to make up for the loss due to lower sales of the Galaxy S22 smartphone. The GOS was not expected to affect the company’s coffers or its business in any way.
Samsung has admitted that it has downgraded the performance of its latest Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone. The company also apologized for its mistake at a recent shareholder meeting, and it seems the brand is facing further scrutiny, this time from the buyers themselves.

It’s fair to say that Samsung has clearly underestimated the impact of the controversy on people in its home market. It is unlikely that the issue of performance throttling is going to hurt its business in other markets, especially in India.
