South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched a new Galaxy A-series smartphone in India, named Galaxy A22.
While the company is yet to officially announce the launch of the Galaxy A22, the handset has clearly entered the offline market as Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has announced its pricing and availability.
Now, the Galaxy A22 has also made an appearance on the official website of Samsung India with the same price tag.

Galaxy A22 has been launched in a single storage variant of GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The MRP of the device is listed on the Samsung India website at Rs 20,499, but there is a discount of Rs 2,000, due to which it is selling for Rs 18,499. This is the same price at which the model is selling in offline markets as well.
It is currently selling on Amazon India website for Rs 18,490.
Specifications and features of Samsung Galaxy A22
Launched in Black and Mint color options, the Samsung Galaxy A22 sports a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with 720x1600p resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.
It is powered by an octa-core processor – MediaTek Helio G80 as per Amazon India website and unspecified on Samsung’s official website. It is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM, of which 103.4GB is available. Buyers also get a microSD card of up to 1TB with the device.
For imaging duties, the Galaxy A22 sports a quad-camera setup at the back. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor (f/1.8 aperture). It is paired with 8MP ultrawide angle sensor (f/2.2 aperture), 2MP macro sensor (f/2.4 aperture) and 2MP depth sensor (f/2.44 aperture). The rear camera setup offers up to 10x digital zoom. The main sensor also offers support for OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), which is said to help the device capture smoother videos and sharper pictures. On the front, users get a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy A22 comes with support for 15W adaptive fast charging.
Running on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 core, the Samsung Galaxy A22 offers dual SIM support, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
