Samsung Galaxy A22 5G India prices leaked ahead of official launch

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G in India after launching the smartphone in the Netherlands and select European regions in June this year. Ahead of the formal announcement of the launch, 91Mobiles claims that the device will be available in two storage models in the country. It is expected to be priced starting at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model and Rs 21,999 for the top 8GB + 128GB storage variant. The alleged pricing seems interesting as the South Korean tech giant already sells a bunch of phones around the same price point like the Galaxy A32, Galaxy M42 and Galaxy F62.

The same publication had earlier claimed that the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will launch in August. Samsung did too introduced a 4G version of Galaxy A22 in the Netherlands back in June, but its India-specific details are unclear. In terms of specifications, the India-centric and the existing Galaxy A22 5G may bear similarities. To recall, the phone comes with a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop-style notch for the single selfie camera. Under the hood, it houses an unknown octa-core processor called MediaTek Dimensity 700. Same processor features as in budget offerings realme 8 5g and Poco M3 Pro 5G. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G packs up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card (up to 1TB).
