Samsung said the two companies are currently exploring ways to collaborate on the development of IT-related technologies, such as semiconductors for autonomous vehicles.

The company said the meeting was held during Lee’s visit to the United States and was the first meeting between the heads of the South Korean chip giant and an American electric-vehicle maker.

Meanwhile, as part of a collaboration with Android device makers, Google is working to prevent random app killings in the background, and Samsung is the first to participate, launching Android 14-based One later this year. UI 6.0 will benefit Galaxy phone owners when it is launched. ,

In addition, the company said that partnerships and changes with hardware manufacturers will allow developers to create apps that work consistently across different Android devices.

According to the company, the Android 14 operating system will ease restrictions on background apps by allowing developers to declare and request permissions specifically for foreground services.
