Samantha Ruth Prabhu wraps up shooting for ‘Shakuntalam’

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Sunday said that she has completed the dubbing of her upcoming multilingual mythological drama “Shakuntalam”. In the film written and directed by Gunasekhar, the “The Family Man 2” star reportedly stars as the legendary princess Shakuntala. Samantha posted a picture from the dubbing studio on Instagram, writing, “And it’s a wrap!”

“Shakuntlam” also stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu and Sachin Khedekar. Produced by Neelima Guna, the film went into production last year.

Shakuntalam will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Samantha will also be seen in Tamil romantic comedy ‘Kathu Vakula Rendu Kaadhal’ and Telugu sci-fi thriller ‘Yashoda’.

She last appeared in a special appearance in the song “Oo Antva Oo Oo Antva” from the pan-India blockbuster “Pushpa: The Rise” (2021).
