Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the film industry in the South. The actress delivered some blockbuster performances in the South before venturing into the Hindi entertainment industry. Samantha became a household name after she portrayed the character of Raji in the second season of The Family Man. As a testament to her growing popularity, Samantha has now reached 30 million followers on Instagram.
With 30 million followers on Instagram, Samantha has become one of the platform’s most followed celebrities from the South film industry. Samantha celebrated this milestone with a special post on her Instagram story. The actress, currently in Austria, shared a photo of herself from her holiday and captioned it “30 million” with red hearts.
In the photo, Samantha pulled off a great athleisure look with an off-white oversized jumper paired with brown trousers. Samantha completed her look with a blue cap, white sneakers and sunglasses. The actress smiled at the camera while sitting at a seemingly heritage location.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently on a break from acting as she is recovering from Myositis, a disease which affects the muscles and causes prolonged pain. In a recent Instagram live session, the actress revealed that she does not want to do any more projects for at least a year. Samantha said that she wants to utilize her break and travel the world.
However, the actress expressed excitement about the release of her upcoming action project with Varun Dhawan. The duo will soon be seen in the Indian spin-off of the spy series Citadel, originally starring Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. Samantha said, “One thing I am really excited about is action. There’s quite a bit coming up in Citadel. It was absolutely hard. It was hard, but it was fun. I love the challenge. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. I think action is it for me.”
Meanwhile, Samantha was recently seen in Kushi opposite Vijay Deverakonda. After nearly 20 days since its theatrical release, streaming giant Netflix announced earlier this week that the film will be available from October 1, 2023, on the platform.
