Ahead of the release of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Shakuntalam, the makers of the film released the first track titled Mallika Mallika.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is gearing up for the release of her film Shakuntalam. Ahead of its release, the makers released the first track from the epic mythological film titled Mallika Mallika. The melodious song sung by Ramya Behera showcases the various avatars of the actress in the film. The music is directed by Mani Sharma and the lyrics are penned by Chaitanya Prasad. Sharing a picture from the song, where the actress can be seen dressed in a white outfit, he wrote, “#Mallika for you”

Based on Samantha, Shakuntalam also stars Dev Mohan, Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla and Jisshu Sengupta.
Earlier in the day, Allu Arjun shared a picture of his daughter on social media while dubbing for the film. After the release of the trailer of Shakuntalam, little Arha also impressed everyone. The film is directed by Gunasekhar.
Based on Kalidasa’s internationally acclaimed Sanskrit play Abhigyana Shakuntalam, the film features Samantha as the titular character and actor Dev Mohan as King Dushyanta of Mahabharata. The trailer, which released a few days ago, gave a glimpse of the epic love story of Shakuntala and Dushyant and how the latter married Dushyant after being forgotten. The film is all set to release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Apart from Shakuntalam Samantha Ruth Prabhu Kushi will also be seen opposite Vijay Deverakonda and Citadel opposite Varun Dhawan.
