Salman Khan condoles Dilip Kumar’s demise: ‘Best actor Indian cinema has ever seen’

Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar breathed his last on 7 July. The ‘Tragedy King’ of Bollywood was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in suburban Khar on June 30 due to age-related health issues and passed away today at the hospital.

Several eminent personalities, including the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, paid tributes to the late actor and offered condolences. The Maharashtra government also announced that Dilip Kumar would be cremated with full state honours.

As the news of his demise spread, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Asha Bhosle, Dharmendra and others offered condolences to his family and paid tribute to the legendary actor.

Salman Khan also shared an old picture with Dilip Kumar and wrote, “Best actor Indian cinema has ever seen and will ever see… #RIP Dilip Saab”.

Veteran singer Asha Bhosle also paid tribute to Dilip Kumar and wrote, “I am very sad to hear that Dilip Sahab is no more with us. He was like an elder brother to me. I have great admiration and respect for his wife Saira Bhabhi who genuinely cared for him and dedicated his life to her. Lots of love to him and the family. We share your sorrow”

Adnan Sami also shared a collage with Dilip Kumar and wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the news that the ‘King of Cinema’ Dilip Kumar has passed away… I admired him as an actor and his Respected because he was my father’s first cousin. Peshawar. That’s why I called him Yusuf ‘Lala’. He loved me a lot and encouraged me a lot as an artist. I will miss him a lot…”

During this, Dilip Kumar will be cremated with full state honors. Reportedly, the last rites of the actor will be performed at a graveyard in Santa Cruz.
