Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 98. On Wednesday evening, the veteran actor of the cinema world was cremated with state honors with state honors. Veteran actor Saira Banu has expressed her gratitude for the condolences shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the demise of her husband, actor Dilip Kumar.

Taking to Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle, Saira Banu said, “Thank you, Honorable @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi ji, for your kind morning phone call and condolences. -Saira Banu Khan.” She was responding to the PM’s tweet, which read, “Dilip Kumar ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled talent, which has enthralled audiences generation after generation. His passing is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and countless fans. RIP.”

Saira also thanked the PM and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for the state honors given to Dilip Kumar for his last rites. “Thank you @PMOIndia and @CMOMaharashtra for burying Dilip Sahib with state funeral protocol. – Saira Banu Khan,” she wrote.

Dilip Kumar was cremated with state honors in Mumbai at 5 pm on Wednesday. Kumar’s nephew actor Ayub Khan and other relatives including Bano’s nephew were present at the graveyard for the last rites. megastar Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bacchan And director-producer Subhash Ghai was present at the funeral to give last rites to Dilip Kumar.
