The action-thriller featuring Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat is titled Jewel Thief.
The makers of Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat action thriller have named their film Jewel Thief.
It was earlier reported that Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan will be collaborating on a heist film. The thriller film will feature the actor racing against time for a rescue operation. Jaideep Ahlawat will reportedly play the antagonist in the film. Now as per latest reports, the action thriller film that will directly release on OTT has got the title of ‘Jewel Thief’
If sources close to the entertainment portal PinkVilla were to be believed, the Robbie Grewal directorial of RAW: Romeo Akhbar Walter fame will be registered under Siddharth Anand’s banner, “While the film is titled Jewel Thief, it has got nothing to do with the original film starring the legendary Dev Anand. Siddharth Anand had this title registered under his banner and believes that the tile is apt for the subject of this Robbie Grewal directorial,” shared the source.
Last month, while speaking about how he wants to expand his production house, Marflix, the director told Pinkvilla, “I think the idea is to make some good action films here. That’s a space I think I found my calling in. We’re starting out, and we have some decent fun films. So hopefully you’ll see some fun action films coming out of Marflix.”
When asked if Siddharth will be announcing a lot of films soon, he said, “Not lots. Some of them. I don’t believe in quantity. We are actually like a small boutique production house where I want to put all my energy and effort into any film we are doing. Like right now, we are doing a fun action film with Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. It’s a quirky film, and all my energy is directed towards that.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming Telugu film Devara, alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Saif plays the antagonist in the film.
As for Jaideep Ahlawat, he is best known for films including Raazi, Gangs of Wasseypur, and An Action Hero. The actor last appeared in the movie Jaane Jaan. He is soon going to star in a slew of upcoming films such as Maharaj, Ikkis and an untitled film with Saif Ali Khan.
