After a long wait’Pondicherry‘ It finally got a theatrical release and received positive reviews from audiences and critics alike. How does it feel?

‘Pondicherry’ has a global appeal. We had a great time shooting in Pondicherry. They have a lot of taste in culture, food and people. It is just mesmerizing. I think India should explore properly. Because of the variety we have, it was not there in the world. That’s why I am proud to be an Indian.

‘Pondicherry’ was shot entirely on a smartphone. Did you face any obstacle?

It was very different. The first few days of shooting were really weird as we don’t know about the camera. Later we got used to it. Humans are very persistent creatures and we adapt. Because our survival instinct is so strong. I guess we couldn’t see where the camera is, maybe we did better.

You took a social media detox for the shoot of ‘Pondicherry’?

Yes, I think it is useless to spend more time in anything. I think everyone should practice in their life. It was a wonderful experience. I could focus more and save a lot of time. I had space to think and absorb myself in good deeds.
