Shabaash Mithu to release in theaters on July 15
Sachin Tendulkar Has reacted to the recently released trailer of the cricket film Shabaash Mithu based on the life and times of Mithali Raj, The trailer of the film was launched on social media by Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the national cricket team. The more than two-minute-long trailer begins with Mithali’s childhood story. It later tells about how she started playing, her practice, the difficulties of becoming a captain and being a woman in a sport like cricket. Taapsee will play the lead role in the film, which is slated to hit the theaters on July 15.

The trailer of Shabaash Mithu, starring Taapsee, was released on June 20. Mithali Raj, who is known for her record-breaking 23-year-long career in international cricket, scored more than 10,000 runs in ODIs. The film follows his journey to become a legendary cricketer and an inspiration to billions of girls and women across the world. The film is a tribute to Mithali’s recent retirement from all forms of cricket.

‘God of cricket’ calls the film’s trailer ‘heart-touching’
After the trailer launch, the team of Shabaash Mithu got a thumbs up from Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin wrote on Twitter. “#ShabaashMithuTrailer is heartwarming. Mithali has inspired millions to dream and follow their passion and I look forward to seeing this film. My best wishes to the entire team (sic).”

In filming the journey of Mithali Raj, the makers have brought forth the issue of gender discrimination. The message of ‘Nazariya Badlo, Khel Badal Gaya’ is firmly encapsulated in the trailer with compelling dialogues and glimpses of the talented Taapsee playing the role of Mithali. Directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios, the film will hit the theaters on July 15.
