Taylor Swift praised Ryan Gosling’s SNL monologue where Emily Blunt joined him to sing an All Too Well cover.

Ryan Gosling as Ken has the hearts of audiences and celebrities alike and Taylor Swift is no different. In a heartwarming move, the pop singer recently heaped praise on Gosling’s rendition of her All Too Well as the Barbie actor performed it with Emily Blunt during their appearance on Saturday Night Live on the weekend.

Taylor Swift, known to appreciate creative endeavours, shared her delight at Gosling and Blunt’s rendition, on X (formerly Twitter) as she wrote, “All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!! Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is everything.” Her endorsement added another layer of excitement to the already viral moment.

In a preview of the Saturday Night Live episode posted on the show’s official handle, Ryan Gosling embarked on a comedic journey to say goodbye to his Barbie character through a monologue. However, he had a change of heart and instead performed a rendition of Taylor Swift’s song with Emily Blunt.

Sitting on a piano with sunglasses on and a white fur coat layering his stylish ensemble, Ryan Gosling said, “You know, when you play a character that hard, that long, just letting go feels like a breakup and for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: the music of the great Taylor Swift.”

The La La Land actor went on to say, “I shredded Venice Beach; it’s true. My clothes were tight, but something about that spandex felt so right. I left my rollerblades in that big pink house, but I still got that fur coat and I’ll wear it right now.” However, he was quickly interrupted by his co-star Blunt who jokingly scolded him for going off script.

Meanwhile, The Fall Guy premiered at SXSW earlier this year on March 12, 2024. The film is slated to be released in the United States and Canada on May 3, 2024.

Coming back to Swift, the singer recently made headlines for attending Coachella with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and friend Sabrina Carpenter. A video from the music festival in Indio, California, features Kelce and Swift grooving to her hit song Karma.
