Rumors of a ‘Curse of Batman’ have spread after stuntman Conway Wycliffe died on the set of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’. The stuntman reportedly died on the spot during the trial of a scene involving the Batmobile.
While practicing a scene leaning out of a car window, the driver of the car reportedly took a 90-degree turn, resulting in a collision with a tree. Wycliffe suffered a serious head injury and was declared brought dead on the spot.
His death was not the only tragedy to hit the set. This was followed by a drug overdose of Heath Ledger, who played The Joker. Fellow star Morgan Freeman was badly injured in a car accident and Christian Bale, who plays Bruce Wayne, was accused of assaulting his mother and sister a few days before the film’s premiere.
