At least 21 people have been killed in a Russian military missile attack on a nine-storey building in Odessa, local officials have confirmed. The attack took place when the people of the apartment were sleeping. The attack came hours after Russian troops left the Black Sea outpost of Sagar Island.

Two missiles were fired by Russian troops, one of which hit a residential building while the other hit a recreation center, killing 21 and injuring dozens.

The local people of Serhivka village, along with activists, came to the rescue and helped them to remove the remains of a completely destroyed building from a part.

One of the locals who reached the spot said, “We came here to the site of destruction and helped the workers to remove the ruins and to help the injured and the bodies of those who died.”
