Russo-Ukraine War: Ukraine, which has been bearing the brunt of Russian attacks for the past 14 months, has issued an emergency alert in almost all the country’s cities amid reports of multiple missile attacks on the already war-torn country.

According to a report by The Kiev Independent, Andrey Yermak, head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Said The air defense is working amid warnings of a massive airstrike.

According to local media reports, Moscow may target several cities with at least 100 missiles.

Meanwhile, Yermak urged citizens not to ignore air raid sirens and suggested staying in safe places.

Ukraine shot down 15 out of 18 missiles

According to the latest update, Ukrainian air defense shot down at least 15 out of 18 air-launched cruise missiles of the Х-101/Х-555 type.

The Kiev Independent cited Valery Zaluzny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as saying that Moscow launched the attack at 2:30 a.m. (Kiev time) on Monday. He said Russian troops used strategic aircraft, nine Tu-95 aircraft and two Tu-160 aircraft, to strike the target.

“Main Battle Coming Soon”

Earlier on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky honored the country’s border guard forces with medals and wished them success.

“Dear warriors, the main battle is coming soon. We must free our land and our people from Russian slavery,” Zelensky said.

“The aggressor will certainly not succeed in taking away our peace, which is a natural part of the Ukrainian character…the desire for peace and freedom for our entire state, for all our regions, cities and communities. Will take advantage.” This,” he said.
