Rumi is currently in quarantine and will go for tests again later this week. “If I test negative, I will be able to come to Mumbai or watch the film in Hyderabad on the day of its release,” he said.
‘Chehre’ is an important film for Rumi Jaffrey, who has been typecast as a writer. There is a prevailing image that he only writes humor and hence he has a point to prove. He takes pride in the fact that he comes from a background in literature and theater and can write much more than punchy dialogues.
