Pargat Singh and Manish Sisodia

Before the assembly elections, there has been a ruckus on the education model of Punjab and Delhi. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh has fled the ground. He now asked CM Charanjit Channi to issue a list of 250 schools so that schools in Delhi and Punjab can be compared. However, Pargat Singh said that Sisodia did not understand his challenge properly.

It was Pargat Singh who accepted Sisodia’s challenge. When Sisodia had asked for a comparison of 10 schools, Pargat asked for a list of 250. Sisodia released this list on Sunday. He asked Pargat to release the list by evening. However, Pargat did not release any list.

Open debate on Punjab-Delhi education model: Education Minister Pargat did not list; Said- He is running the municipality, we the state; debate on lifestyle

Pargat said – not just the name, complete information about the schools should have been given
Pargat Singh said that Sisodia was in such a hurry to reply that he could not understand what he had written. He had said that on the basis of National Performance Grading Index. Sisodia should have given the list of students, permanent teachers and vacant posts, class 10 results and the names of the principal. They should have given the figures from 2013-14 to 2019-20 so that the whole picture could be clear. Pargat said that if not the principal, then who is sending him on training. What are they talking about infrastructure when new schools are not built.
