Opposition’s allegation – dictatorship is going on in the country
In the Pegasus case, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has said in a press conference that according to the IT Act, permission has to be taken for surveillance. This government has allowed spying through Pegasus. Judges, army officers, journalists and opposition leaders have been spied on. This does not happen in any democracy in the world. Dictatorship is going on in the country. Modi ji is not ready to solve the issues democratically. We are ready for discussion. The government should call an all-party meeting. We are all going to fight on this issue.

Earlier on Monday, the opposition created a lot of noise in both the houses, due to which the proceedings of both the houses were adjourned till Tuesday. The Congress has demanded that the Pegasus issue be discussed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. This is the second week of the monsoon session of Parliament. Due to heavy uproar in the first week, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha could not go on properly.
