RSS Pays Tributes to Mulayam Singh Yadav, Sharad Yadav, Shanti Bhushan at Its Annual Meet

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh paid tributes to late Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, Samajwadi leader Sharad Yadav, senior advocate Shanti Bhushan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi at its annual general meeting here on Sunday.

The three-day annual general meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) began here on Sunday, with the organization paying tributes to political leaders and eminent personalities who passed away in the last one year.

The list included over 100 names including Mulayam Singh Yadav, Sharad Yadav and Bhushan.

The Sangh also paid tribute to late Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former Odisha minister Nabakishor Das, who was killed by a police officer.

The list also includes Sagar Sahu and Budhram Karatam, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders from Chhattisgarh who were “martyred in Naxalite violence”.

Prominent personalities who paid tributes included the Prime Minister’s mother Heeraben Modi, actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik, actor Javed Khan Amrohi and singer Vani Jairam.

The office bearers of the union also paid tribute to industrialists Jamshed J Irani and Vikram Kirloskar.

In the first session of the meeting, RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale read out the names of all eminent personalities, including politicians, industrialists and artistes, who passed away in the last one year.
