Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia to FRO’s kin, job for one: Telangana CM, K Chandrasekhar Rao | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, announced an ex-gratia of 50 lakh for the family of deceased forest range officer, Ch Srinivasa Rao while also directing the director general of police, M Mahender Reddy, to ensure strictest punishment to the offenders.
He also instructed chief secretary, Somesh Kumar to conduct the last rites of the FRO while following all official government formalities. In addition, the CM said the state will also provide government job to one member of the family and asked officials to disburse Rao’s salary to them till his official date of retirement.

Condemning the attack on Rao, KCR stressed that such acts of violence against government employees will not be tolerated and that the culprits will be severely punished.
He also assured complete support to government employees and promised that they will not face any hindrance while discharging their duties.
Telangana’s forest minister, Indrakaran Reddy, said that the government is sincerely working towards solving the problem of Podu lands, while terming the recent attack as “illegal and unjust”. He too made it clear that encroachment of forest area will not be tolerated and legal action will be taken against encroachers.
