New Delhi: Oscars 2023 is just round the corner and this time India is all excited as RRR’s Naatu Naatu is competing in the Best Original Song category. Not just RRR, The Elephant Whispers and All That Breathes have also bagged nominations in the Documentary Short Film and Documentary Feature Film categories respectively.

After the Oscar nominations were announced, every Indian’s heart swelled with pride and joy as we bagged three nominations this year. Now that there are only a few hours left for the Oscars ceremony to go live, we are eagerly waiting to see any one of the cast and crew of the three films hand over the trophy! 1. ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR

First and foremost, the much-loved music of `RRR` made it to the Oscar race this year. The energy-packed track ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the magnum opus film bagged a nomination in the ‘Original Song’ category this year. This lyrical composition of `Naatu Naatu` by MM Keeravani, high energy vocals by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairav, unique choreography by Prem Rakshit, and lyrics by Chandrabose are all elements that make this `RRR` anthem a perfect dance craze . The song was featured in “Applause” from the movie “Tell It Like a Woman,” “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and “This Is Life,” “Everything”. , from Everywhere All at Once.

2. The Elephant Whispers

`The Elephant Whispers` has been nominated in the `Documentary Short Film category` against `Haul Out,` `How Do You Measure a Year?`, `The Martha Mitchell Effect,` and `Stranger at the Gate`. The plot revolves around a family who adopts two orphaned baby elephants at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. The film is directed by Kartiki Gonsalves.

3. All That Breathes

`All That Breathes` has been nominated in the `Documentary Feature Film` category against `All the Beauty and the Bloodshed`, `Fire of Love`, `A House Made of Splinters` and `Navalny`. The film revolves around the lives of siblings Mohammed Saud and Nadeem Shahzad, who work to rescue and treat injured birds, especially black kites, from their abandoned basement in Wazirabad, Delhi. It is directed by Shaunak Sen.

4. Special mention to Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez appeared in the song `Applause` from the film `Tell It Like a Woman`, which also received an Oscar nomination in the `Best Original Song` category and was featured against `Naatu Naatu`, `Hold My` from `RRR` will compete.
