The industry also saw it as a film that could revive theatres. While Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, and Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi did stupendously well at the box-office, RRR still has the best first week collections among films that released after the pandemic.

If we consider just the first week’s collection of movies, RRR is on top, beating Sooryavanshi too. Suryavanshi donated Rs. 120.66 crores in the first week. The third position is occupied by The Kashmir Files which has collected Rs. 97.30 crores in 7 days. It is also touted as one of the most profitable films, which has already earned more than Rs. 225 crores in India. At the fourth spot is Kabir Khan’s ’83 which earned Rs. 71.87 crore, followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi with Rs. 68.93 crores.
Well, the trend also shows that the films have done well at the box-office since the second half of 2021. The collection was definitely affected due to the pandemic and now, one can expect that things will look better ahead. This week, John Abraham starrer Attack is releasing and we are yet to see if the film will slow down the collections of RRR or The Kashmir Files.
